Screw washing plants are particularly suitable for the continuous and bulk treatment of small and medium-sized items, such as screws, bolts and small metal pieces in general.
The material is moved forward by the slow rotation (at variable speed) of a cylinder, which contains a spiral of preset pitch. During the forward motion, the items undergo treatment cycles and the continuous and slow rotation of the screw allows the motion of the pieces, removing any grease or swarf and drying them perfectly.
The loading operations can be either manual or automated via automatic loading devices.

In order to optimize the treatment cycles, some optionals are supplied on demand, such as:
De-olier: usually included in the degreasing tanks, the de-olier divides the water from the oil (no emulsion) in order to increase the life of the cleaning solution. The circuit is composed by a pump(3) that aspirates from the equipment’s tank(4) by a divice that follows always the level(2) and send the liquid to the separation device(1). From the separatin device the water come back to the tanks(4) and the oil goes in an external tank(5).
Filtrations: for special requirements it’s possible to install filters 1 to 100 microns retention. For these machines are usually installed bag filters(1) feeded by an indipendent pump(3) that aspires the liquid from the tank(4), press it in the filter(1) and re-send it back in the tank(4).
Automatic loaders: different standard devices are available for the automatic loading and unloading of the plant. Customized devices can be developed at the customer’s request.
Bases with wheels: available on small and medium-sized machines for a quick displacement of the plant inside the factory.
Fumes exhaust system: cleaning systems can be mounted for the air leaving the plant. These exhaust systems often avoid the construction of stacks.
Automatic fill-up: the continuous use of the plant often makes the water evaporate, and accordingly the liquid level in the tanks tends to fall in the long run. In order to solve this problem, suitable systems can be installed, that automatically restore the level inside the plant’s tanks.
