The hydrokinetic washers exploit the mechanical action of the liquid (usually water and detergent or water-based solvent), moved at high pressure and flow-rate inside a washing chamber that includes a rotating drum holder.
Typical applications include the treatment of considerable amounts of turned items, inserted in large drums, although other pieces, also of large size, can be directly placed inside them.
The combined action of the moved liquid and the rotation of the pieces around their axis facilitates the removal of oily residues, and especially of all process residues.
The washing cycle is based on a spray phase and an immersion phase, during which the detergent solution is shaken vigorously. This combines the chemical action of the degreaser with the mechanical action of the jets.
This procedure may be followed by a rinsing phase and by air or air-vacuum drying.

These plants can deliver a fair quality of the washed product and accordingly are recommended for interoperational wash or more generally when the items to be washed are complex and their shapes and dimensions are diversified, or when they feature many blind holes or particular points dirt with chips and process residues. This solution is highly reliable, compact, flexible, ideal for small-volume production, and makes it possible to obtain satisfactory cleanliness levels.
The plant can be provided with accessories that allow a considerable reduction in routine maintenance time, for a better logistic autonomy. These accessories are the following:
Vacuum drying: for pieces which are very difficult to dry, it is possible to install a vacuum drying system.
De-olier: usually included in the degreasing tanks, the de-olier divides the water from the oil (no emulsion) in order to increase the life of the cleaning solution. The circuit is composed by a pump(3) that aspirates from the equipment’s tank(4) by a divice that follows always the level (2) and send the liquid to the separation device(1). From the separatin device the water come back to the tanks(4) and the oil goes in an external tank(5).
Filtrations: for special requirements it’s possible to install filters 1 to 100 microns retention. For these machines are usually installed bag filters(1) feeded by an indipendent pump(3) that aspires the liquid from the tank(4), press it in the filter(1) and resend it back in the tank(4).
Detergent dosing pumps: low-capacity pumps, which inject the detergent inside the storage tanks to offset the product leaks and wear.
Dragafanghi e detruciolatori: posti sul fondo dei serbatoi di stoccaggio servono a raccogliere i trucioli o i fanghi asportati dal lavaggio.
Teleservice: a modem can be installed to obtain the remote control of the plant, as well as to facilitate servicing and to communicate via SMS (alarms, cycle etc.).
Automatic doors: the front door can be either automatic or manual. The latter is recommended when an automatic loading/unloading system is to be implemented or in the presence of a large door.
Automatic loading/unloading: these devices are characterised by an accumulation of loading/unloading drums. This ensures autonomy of operation for the plant, without requiring the constant presence of an operator. A tipper is also provided for loose pieces.
The plants can be made of stainless or carbon steel and can be controlled by a PLC.
